FREE KIDS 12 & Under in 2025 Thanks to Lorenzen Equipment! (see below).

*Kids – pick up your tickets at the Gate during rodeo week June 25-28, 2025.   7:30 p.m. TIME SLOT adopted for the 2025 Crystal Springs ProRodeo June 25-28, 2025.    Gates open at 5:30 p.m. nightly, so get there early to save your seat and take in the hillside views.   The rodeo committee hopes this earlier 7:30 start time makes the event more family friendly and allows cowboys some more flexibility.

When you talk to Elliot Lorenzen, owner of Lorenzen Equipment, it doesn’t take long to see just how deeply rooted he and his family are in Deuel County. Born and raised in the area, Elliot graduated from Deuel School in 2007 and has spent his adult life pouring back into the community that raised him. He and his wife, McKenzie, are both lifelong locals and grew up attending the Crystal Spring Rodeo every year. Today, they continue that tradition with their three children, making memories on the hill just like they did as kids.
The Crystal Springs Rodeo is where families come together year after year. That’s why the Lorenzens feel strongly about giving back in a way that would preserve a beloved local tradition for the next generation. Their recent donation to the rodeo ensures that all children 12 and under can attend and camp for free. “We wanted to make sure no family had to think twice about bringing their kids,” Elliot shared. “This rodeo has always been a part of our family’s summer, and we hope it continues to be that for others.”
Beginning with just a few header trailers and a lot of determination, Elliot started Lorenzen Equipment in 2017 just outside of Gary, SD. What started small quickly grew into a trusted and thriving equipment business that is known for quality service and genuine care.
Beyond running a successful business, Elliot remains dedicated to the community. He volunteers as a firefighter and serves on the Deuel County Conservation District. Whether through business, service, or support for local events, the Lorenzens reflect a deep commitment to helping the community thrive.
Thanks to the generosity of the Lorenzens, this year’s rodeo isn’t just a fun weekend—it’s a reminder of the power of community and the importance of keeping local traditions alive.
